Code of Conduct
Aberhall Equestrian takes all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and wellbeing of persons, horses and property attending the venue. However, equestrian activities carry an inherent risk and all persons attending do so at their own risk.
Except in respect of death or personal injury caused by negligence, Aberhall Equestrian shall not be liable for any accident, injury, illness, loss or damage to any person, horse, vehicle, companion, equipment or other property howsoever caused.
Nothing in these terms shall limit or exclude any liability which cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
RULES
* Aberhall Equestrian reserves the right to refuse entry without assigning any reason.
* Aberhall Equestrian reserves the right to cancel any part of or the whole of the Show/clinic without warning.
* It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure that their horses are free from any virus or disease such as strangles and are in general good health in order not to jeopardise the health of others.
* All horses and ponies visiting Aberhall Equestrian must be fully vaccinated against Equine influenza. You MAY NOT attend any show, clinic or hire session if your horse or pony is not fully up to date with their vaccinations. Please ensure you have your passport with you for inspection.
* A current safety standard riding hat MUST be worn whilst mounted anywhere on the site. Fixed peak hats are NOT permitted to be worn in Working Hunter or Arena Eventing classes or clinics.
* It is mandatory to wear a current safety standard body protector for Working Hunter and Arena Eventing classes/clinics and is recommended for Show Jumping classes/clinics.
* All riders under 16yrs old must be accompanied on site by an adult.
* The Judges’ decision will be final at all times.
* No unauthorised person shall enter the arena nor interfere with any Judge, Steward, Official or Instructor during the course of their duties.
* It is the responsibility of competitors/clients to arrive at the venue with sufficient time to warm up and present themselves on time for their class/clinic. Please check the running order in the show schedule before making entries for shows. Entry fees are not refundable if a competitor/client misses their class/clinic.
* Competitor ages will be taken from 1st January of the year of the Show.
* Horses and Ponies in Ridden Horse classes/clinics must be four years old or over.
* All dogs must always be kept on leads.
* Please park lorries/trailers in the designated areas above
These rules are important to ensure everyone’s safety. When riding with us, you agree to abide by these rules.
An adult must sign for any rider under 18 years of age and always remains completely responsible for their safety and actions. You also accept full liability for the actions and safety of any spectators that accompany you.
You accept that you will ride the course and use the jumps entirely at your own risk and that your horse and companions on foot are your responsibility.
